The project ‘Strengthening the healthcare system in Mykolaiv, Ukraine’ is being implemented by the Mykolaiv Development Agency in cooperation with the healthcare administration, the labour and social protection department, and is funded by the Danish government and the Danish company Novo Nordisk.

The aim of the project is to provide medical and social institutions in the city of Mykolaiv with the necessary equipment in order to create uninterrupted and comfortable conditions for the provision of medical services to the population. Supply of medical equipment and vehicles to the following institutions in the city of Mykolaiv:

  • Municipal non-profit enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council ‘City Hospital No. 1’;
  • Municipal non-profit enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council ‘City Hospital No. 3’;
  • Municipal non-profit enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council ‘City Children’s Hospital No. 2’;
  • Municipal non-profit enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council ‘Maternity Hospital No. 3’ (Centre for Reproductive Endocrinology (interparental maternity hospital));
  • Department of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Mykolaiv City Council (social institutions of the city).

Implementation is currently underway, and the necessary equipment is being purchased as part of the project activities. After the procurement procedure is completed, the equipment will be officially transferred to the project in accordance with the agreed plan. The project will be continued in the next stages.
