As part of the project “Reintegration of war veterans through the creation of educational opportunities: Our own for our own,” the AKHALAR Centre invites military personnel, veterans, and their family members to participate in a retreat in the Carpathians — “Body. Resource. Balance”.
It is a space where you can breathe out, release tension, feel yourself again and find inner strength.
When?
- 29 October – 2 November;
- 5 November – 9 November;
- 30 November – 4 December;
- 7 December – 11 December;
- 14 December – 18 December.
The retreat itself will take place in the town of Slavske in the Lviv region at the Creative Residence MS 6.
This retreat is for participants and members of combat operations, their families (husband/wife, children, parents), including those who have died or are missing in action. The retreat programme is designed specifically for those who have gone through war and need deep psychological and physical recovery. It combines art therapy and creative methods for expressing and integrating experiences, physical and somatic practices for relieving tension and restoring a sense of stability, movement and dance, breathing techniques and mindfulness practices for reducing stress. We will work with bodily reactions, emotions, sounds, and smells to restore inner balance and resources.
Combat experience often leaves deep scars on the body and psyche. The retreat will help you:
- reduce accumulated stress;
- regain a sense of security and control;
- find new strength and motivation;
- restore emotional connection with yourself and your loved ones.
Trainers: Yuriy Trokhimenko, Yuriy Usovich, Viktoriya Solonitsyna.
