Two more groups of educators and methodologists have acquired the skills of Tavrian painting!

May 1, 2025

As part of the Mykolaiv: A City That Learns and Teaches project, the  Adult learning and education center “South”, in cooperation with the Mykolaiv Development Agency, continues to train everyone and promote the unique Tauride painting of Mykolaiv Oblast, the region’s hallmark.

This time, we organized training for two more groups of preschool teachers and methodologists – 20 people. The previous three groups were trained in the fall of 2024.

The express course “Fundamentals of Tavrian Painting: Preschool”, developed by Ruslana Sikalenko, a methodologist at the NGO “Adult learning and education center “South”, and teacher Liubov Paraniuk, has again become a real inspiration for the participants. Each group attended five classes that went by in one breath, leaving behind not only new knowledge, emotions, but also faith in their own strength.

According to Natalia Litvinova, one of the participants, she learned about Tavrian painting back in 2016.

“My impressions are vivid. During the course, I learned a lot of new things, learned how to make strokes. I would never have thought that I would be able to create such works by the fifth lesson,” says the teacher-methodologist.

Nataliia admits that at first she was unsure, but now she has a desire to apply this knowledge in her work, share it with children and popularize Tavrian painting as a cultural value of our region.

We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributes to the development of non-formal education and the intangible cultural heritage of our region!
