On April 9, the Office for Recovery and Development held a training “Involvement of Youth in the Recovery Process: Mykolaiv”. The meeting was moderated by Viktor Sikalenko, Director of the Mykolaiv Development Agency, Nadiya Kopanytsia, Director of the School of Engagement Methodology, Emil Korenev, Youth Engagement Analyst, and Liliia Slabko, Governance Expert.
The main goal of the event was to engage youth organizations and initiative groups in contributing to the local recovery plan for Mykolaiv.
During the meeting, the youth representatives got acquainted with the Recovery Plan of Ukraine and the stages of creating the Recovery and Development Plan for Mykolaiv City Territorial Community, which were described by Lilia Kravchuk.
Nadiia Kopanitsa and Emil Korenev also organized interesting activities to generate ideas for the city’s development in infrastructure, economic, social and environmental areas. Participants had the opportunity to express their own wishes for the city’s recovery, and the experts provided them with valuable advice to help them make a real contribution to Mykolaiv’s recovery efforts.
“Young people can realize the future of Mykolaiv! I believe that you will succeed in implementing all your proposals,” said Nadiia Kopanytsia.

We are sincerely grateful to the experts and participants of the training for their fresh perspective on the future of Mykolaiv. We wish our youth strength and inspiration in the implementation of all their projects!
