We announce the establishment of the Coordination Council of Young War Veterans under the Mayor of Mykolaiv, an advisory body on the formation and implementation of youth veteran policy in the city of Mykolaiv.
The main tasks of the Coordination Council are to analyse problematic issues in the field of youth policy for veterans, to provide proposals for draft regulatory and legal acts on youth policy for veterans, to develop proposals for improving youth policy for veterans in the city of Mykolaiv, developing cooperation with local self-government bodies, executive authorities, enterprises, institutions, organisations of all forms of ownership, civil society institutions, and organising projects, programmes and events aimed at developing veteran youth policy.
The Coordination Council may include war veterans, persons who have rendered special services to the Motherland, victims of the Revolution of Dignity, family members of such persons and family members of deceased war veterans, family members of deceased defenders of Ukraine, those missing in action and prisoners of war, representatives of military units, military command bodies, bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, executive bodies of the city council who have the status of combatants, persons with disabilities as a result of war, or persons who have rendered special services to the Fatherland aged 18 to 35.
The selection of members of the Coordination Council is carried out on the basis of documents submitted by the above-mentioned individuals, military units, military command bodies, bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, executive bodies of the city council and civil society institutions in electronic and/or paper form, namely:
- a free-form application for inclusion in the Coordination Council, addressed to the Mayor of Mykolaiv;
- a free-form biographical reference indicating the candidate’s contact telephone number and email address;
- consent to the processing of the candidate’s personal data.
Military units, military command bodies, bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, executive bodies of the city council, and civil society institutions with legal entity status must additionally submit a request for consideration of a candidate for inclusion in the Coordination Council, addressed to the Mayor of Mykolaiv in any form, and attach the above-mentioned documents to the request.
