Just look at the happy faces of our students — they have successfully completed a 60-hour tailoring course! The course was organized as part of the project Reintegration of War Veterans through Educational Opportunities.
In 60 hours of training, the participants mastered sewing suits, T-shirts, and sweatshirts, creating clothes not only for themselves but also for their families.
The program has become an important step towards social adaptation and the acquisition of new professional skills.
The Reintegration of Women and Men War Veterans through Educational Opportunities project not only teaches useful professional skills, but also opens up new opportunities for earning money. According to Anastasia Bilousova, an assistant to a project veteran, the sewing course has become an important stage of social adaptation for many women:
“This course really helps people to adapt to society during the war, because it is a new type of profession for them, a new type of income. They can already take orders. One of the participants from the previous group is already successfully sewing clothes to order. For them it is like a new breath, new opportunities. All the participants are very happy to have taken this course, because it has opened new doors for them.”

We remind you that all veterans and their families have the opportunity to join our other workshops. We offer interesting classes on aromatherapy, making unique epoxy resin crafts, art coaching, where you can learn the art of self-expression through creativity, and get acquainted with our incredible cultural heritage – Tavrian painting. In addition, you can receive psychological support.
This project is implemented with the financial support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, thanks to the efforts of the DVV International Ukraine team and the “Adult learning and education center “South” in partnership with the Mykolaiv Development Agency.
