Renovated Vitrylnyi square opened in Mykolaiv

July 31, 2024

On July 30, the official opening of the renovated Sailing Park in Mykolaiv took place.
The park was equipped with:

  • 13 modern benches;
  • 3 benches with solar panels and USB ports for charging gadgets;
  • 16 urns;
  • 20 hibiscus bushes of crimson, white, and red colours.

It should be noted that this arrangement took place within the framework of the social project “Mykolaiv Unconquered” implemented on the basis of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Mykolaiv Cognac Factory and the Mykolaiv City Council. The initiative aims to equip a comfortable recreation area.

Ihor Filippov, a governance expert at the Recovery and Development Office who was directly involved in the implementation of this project, noted that this initiative is extremely important for our city.

“The initiative not only provides comfortable conditions for recreation for Mykolaiv residents and guests, but also shows that joint efforts of the city council and the private sector can bring significant results. The Mykolaiv Unconquered project demonstrates how to create public spaces that become centers of social life, help strengthen the community and improve the quality of life. From now on, it will be even more comfortable to relax in the Vitrylnyi square,” he said.
