In Mykolaiv, youth coordinators will be appointed to the working group

April 14, 2025

Our communicator Maksym Misailov, together with social entrepreneur and head of the NGO “Vzirets” Tetyana Vyaznikova, took part in the UNDP program “Youth Focal Points | Youth Coordinators in Public Safety and Recovery Working Groups”. This is a unique pilot project aimed at strengthening the role of youth in recovery processes.

In total, there were 30 youth representatives from Mykolaiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. In Mykolaiv region, youth coordinators will be in Buzka, Halytsynivka, and Voznesensk communities.

The training is aimed at:

  • ✅ effective interaction of young people with working groups;
  • ✅ tools for analyzing the needs of young people in communities;
  • ✅ methodology for building a dialogue between young people and the authorities.

Local workshops and a youth needs survey are ahead, which will help identify the needs and problems of young people, as well as formulate recommendations for further action and presentation at a working group meeting. We are working to ensure that the voice of young people is heard in decision-making processes.

This is another step towards a stronger and more united community! We thank UNDP for the opportunity to grow and develop youth leadership!

The Youth Focal Points program is organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP Ukraine) in Ukraine within the framework of the EU-UNDP flagship partnership “EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine” and the Government of Denmark.
