A hostel for internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been renovated in Mykolaiv. This will provide about 200 people who have lost their homes due to the war with a safe haven. The renovation was funded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
However, not only the renovation work, but also the equipment of the premises were important aspects of the dormitory’s preparation.
Recently, the Danish Refugee Council / DRC donated 133 appliances, including microwaves, gas stoves, irons and ironing boards, dryers, kettles, and a Smart TV to the future recreation room.
This equipment will significantly improve living conditions for people who have lost their homes to the war. We are grateful to DRC for their care and contribution to improving the lives of IDPs.
The work of the experts was carried out within the framework of the project “Youth and Public Office for Development and Interaction” with the assistance of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine and financial support from the Government of Denmark.
