Announcement | “Digital Museum Collection: Painting”. Presentation of project results

Platform MY ART, in partnership with the Mykolaiv Development Agency, digitised a collection of 20th-century paintings from the collections of the Vereshchagin Mykolaiv Regional Art Museum and the Mykolaiv Regional Local History Museum. The digital copies were converted into animated images and a virtual gallery and presented in a printed catalogue. We invite you to the presentation of the results!

During the event, the project team will present a printed edition of an album-catalogue of 20th-century paintings, which includes 228 digitised works from the collections of two museums. These are works by famous Ukrainian artists Oleksandr Murashko, Ilya Repin, Zinaida Serebriakova, Anatol Petrytsky, Tetiana Yablonska, Alla Gorska, Viktor Zaretsky, Ivan Trush, Mykola Hluschenko, Volodymyr Mykyta, Igor Grigoriev, as well as famous artists from the steppes of the south: Kyriak Kostandi, Leonid Inglese, Danylo Krainev, Oleksandr Atsmanchuk, Mykhailo Bozhii, Oleksii Shovkunenko, Andrii Antoniuk, Oleksii Markitan, Dmytro Moldavanov, and others. In total, over 300 works of art have been digitised!

We will also present an online gallery in augmented reality (AR), which will become the 11th exhibition hall of the art museum, as well as animated paintings.

The project was implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
