A step towards Europe: an Office for European Integration will open in Mykolaiv!

January 16, 2026

We are delighted to announce the launch of the European Integration Office in Mykolaiv — a space of opportunities based at the Mykolaiv Development Agency, which is another step towards European programmes and projects. All this is thanks to our long-standing friendship and cooperation with the non-governmental organisation “Adult Training and Education Center “Pivden” — partners with whom we have implemented many projects in the city! We have already signed a memorandum.

The European Integration Office is an initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations, local partners and Mykolaiv as a whole. Together, we will prepare projects for EU programmes such as Erasmus+, exchange experiences and build international networks, including visits to twin cities. In addition, a digital tool for promoting EU programmes will be launched on the Mykolaiv Development Agency website.

Here are the key areas:

  • Identifying needs: we analyse what the community needs and prepare projects in line with European standards.
  • Joint initiatives: from training and analytics exchange to Erasmus+ applications.
  • Networking: we engage international partners, experts, and new organisations to share experiences.
  • Inclusion: attention to vulnerable groups such as IDPs, veterans, children of military personnel, and socially disadvantaged groups.

The project ‘Establishment of a European Integration Office in the Mykolaiv Community’ is being implemented by the NGO “Adult Training and Education Center “Pivden” in cooperation with the Mykolaiv Development Agency and with the support of the “U-LEAD with Europe” programme, which is funded by the European Union and its member states — Germany, Denmark, France, Austria, Poland and Slovenia. U-LEAD promotes transparent, accountable and multi-level governance in Ukraine that responds to the needs of citizens and empowers communities.

For reference. Erasmus+ is one of the European Union’s programmes that has been changing the lives of millions of people around the world for over 35 years. It supports the educational, professional and personal development of people in Europe and beyond, promoting growth, quality jobs, social cohesion, innovation and a stronger European identity.
