As part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund grant competition, students created a modern eco-location near the Mykolaiv Construction College of KNUBA.
What has been done?
- Comfortable radial benches for rest were installed;
- Paving slabs were laid;
- Decorative stone was used to decorate the territory.
Why is it important?
The project has become not only an aesthetic addition to the college territory, but also a significant contribution to the formation of environmental awareness among young people. Thanks to the students’ efforts, they managed to create a cozy space that motivates them to take care of the environment.
The project is part of a series of activities aimed at greening and beautifying the city, implemented with the support of international partners.
This initiative demonstrates how young people and grant support can change the space around them, creating comfortable and environmentally sustainable areas for the community.
The project was implemented at the initiative of the municipal institution Mykolaiv Development Agency, students of the Mykolaiv Construction College of KNUBA, and the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Mykolaiv City Council with the support of the municipal enterprise Mykolaiv Parks.
