Furniture and household appliances were received to equip a hostel for IDPs and people in need of temporary accommodation. The total amount is UAH 529,752. These are wardrobes, bedside tables, hangers, bookshelves, tables, chairs, armchairs, LED lamps, warm blankets, pillows, bedding, electric kettles, refrigerators for bedrooms; a sofa and shelves for common recreation rooms; mirrors and boilers for bathrooms.
Our team received folding beds with mattresses, washing machines and dryers for Mykolaiv earlier, and now they will be useful in the new hostel.
The hostel operates on the basis of the Mykolaiv Department of Labor and Social Protection. It has 10 rooms for 30 residents. The facility can accommodate internally displaced persons and city residents who have lost their homes and found themselves in difficult life circumstances.
To get shelter in the hostel, one should contact the territorial centers of social protection in Mykolaiv.
The equipment was purchased with funds from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the Democratic Governance in Eastern Ukraine (DG East) project.
